First off this morning was a 10am dentist appointment. I got two crowns put in the upper left. They put two temp crowns in the lower right. It was the first time they worked on the lower teeth. So Novocain in the lower jaw. It took forever to wear off. I was in there an hour and it was after 3:30 before I got all the feeling back. Lunch was fun.
So this afternoon we laid out the garden. We being; nephew Todd, nephew Josh, and me. We were trying to get it straight and rectangular. The lot isn't square in the first place and the garden last year wasn't straight ether. We made it longer and now it is about 15'x50'. As soon as it was measured and staked out, nephew Josh disappeared and left Todd and I to mow and then rototill. It took about 3 hours to do everything and I did three passes tilling the garden. It will take at least three more especially for the new ground before it is ready for the plants.
I have the museum in the morning and a 2pm doctors appointment. I'm going to ask for them to up the Prozac. I don't have a lot of hope that they will, but I will try. It seems to "run out". I don't expect to be able to work and 8 hour day but I would like more than I getting now. I have been pushing it, today was no exception.
Anyhow tomorrow I would like to finish the rototilling and get the Grove St. bed along the fence planted also.
There are 6 blueberry plants in a row on the right and the bed I want to plant is along the fence on the left. I have 15 sunflowers and Okra plants each, to go there. I will be putting a fence around them to keep the rabbits out. Wish me luck.

Sounds like you are going to have a great garden this year!
ReplyDeleteI hope so. I sure do have a good crop of rabbit.
ReplyDeleteYou need to set a lot of traps and build a rabbit pen. They really good to eat. If they going eat your garden and get fat, then maybe you need to eat them so you can get fat to.
ReplyDeleteYou really a busy person, you taking down a building and you doing a garden to. We are going to work on the garden spot here to. The stuff from the garden tastes a lot better then you get at the store. I love Cantaloupe and we always make a lot of that. Hugs JJ
