Well we , Jim and I, got a lot done today. We wanted to get the rest of the wainscoting removed and the stage floor taken out. I still have to get the nails pulled out of the wainscoting and get it bundled up. But it it out. As for the floor, it is out also. It was a slow start until we figured out that we had to work from the back walk to the front, not the other way around. About 45 minutes later it was all pulled up. The it only took about 3 hours to pull the square nails out and get it into bundles.
Between the 8 hours yesterday and the 6 today I a bit sour and tired. I haven't work like this for quite awhile. The last 3 years I have been getting weaker. Last year I could barely keep up with the lawn. So I went to the Doctors and they gave me so meds that have helped. I didn't have much to lose. So I count myself lucky to do work the last two days. Tomorrow is Sunday so I won't work unless it is an emergence. Beside I need to recover. :-)
I did get some pic's. I don't like how they are displayed. I want to have them after my post, not beside it. I guess I need to educate myself.
There is also a pic to some of the bundles. There is getting to be too many and I have got to move them to my place. But my place is a mess and I have to figure out where to put them.
I see that I need to get the pictures in the right order. Well there is always tomorrow. :-)
I got it put the pic's at the end by using MS FrontPage to edit the HTML. I have to work on the overall look.

Just dropped by from JJ's blog to visit and say hi.
ReplyDeleteBefore I had a read through your posts I was trying to work out what the building was - it's very simple but had a very unusual front. You guy's have really been getting into it, no wonder your a bit knocked up. I'm a bit older than you and also do physical work and I can tell you it dsen't get any easier - at least it makes you sleep well.
What is the final project going to be?
Rabbits and gardening don't sit well together - you usually finish up with well fed rabbits and very little for your table.
Anyway good luck - look forward to reading more, also maybe some nice pics of your loverly countryside.
Regards Stef
Hi Sterling...
ReplyDeleteLike Southern, I stopped by after reading JJ's endorsement. And like Southern, I am a little older than you, but other than that, it seems we have much in common. I love to build things and also to take things apart and salvage good (old) materials. I am fortunate to be able to do that and have people actually pay me to do it. But the best projects are the ones you do for yourself.
Good luck to you and Jim on your project.
Thats looks like a lot of work. your like 3 times my age and to me it looks like i would be asleep on my feet. soby the sounds of it you are absolutly wiped by the end of it. again i found you on JJ's blog when he put up the post but i havent had time ot start reading till now with school work, doing my blog, keeping up with others, going to my tutor twice a week and stuff. i managed to start reading and your project looks really interesting. cant wait to see what else you have done.
